Terrence Lun Tse has taken the ordinary out of creating nature scapes and made them extraordinary. In his book, he covers materials & techniques and offers demonstrations for every season of the year.
Unless you are used to using different and unusual things to apply your paint to canvas, you might find it interesting to learn how to use, among other things, spray paint, sponges, utility knives, masking tape, and natural materials like sticks and leaves and rocks, feathers and flowers too to color your canvas with interest and movement.
I love the way Terrence shows in visual and written detail how to use "nifty" techniques to create interest in your work. You may even find it interesting to discover how he uses acrylic paint, actual leaves and branches from a tree, and a spray bottle of water to create the most amazing display of painted leaves on a canvas. I would have never known to do this and I found it absolutely amazing.
His painting demonstrations will draw your interest and guide you through a way of using other things within your grasp to create more interest, detail, and texture to your paintings.
I highly recommend this book for your artist library. It is one that I am turning to time and again for inspiration and working in new and innovative ways to express my creativity on canvas.
