Continuing to strive for excellence in art has always been Eleinne's goal. She believes painting is a constant learning process, every painting a new set of experiences and discoveries. She tries to immerse herself in great art by constantly soaking in those on display at museums and galleries. Paintings by the likes of Zorn, Sergeant, and Cassatt continue to inspire and motivate her to reach for a certain quality in her paintings. Eleinne credits much of her knowledge to the classical training she had while growing up in Manila. When she was only seven years old, her parents enrolled her at the Children's Museum and Library where she studied for eight years. Drawing and painting exclusively from life , It was here that she learned the fundamentals of light and shadow, value scales and colors, and also, the use of different media, from charcoal to oils, which she started to do at the early age of nine. She even remembers painting "en plein air."
